I think they have been inspired by The Scene and The New Dance show. Television shows in Detroit which ran during the late 1970s,1980s and 1990s. Check my first post!

The islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique developed their own unique styles of music influenced by generations of immigrants and a strong french colonial presence. The scattering drums and soaring clarinets of biguine ruled the dancefloors on the islands in the 60s and 70s.
